My Solar Power and some explanations Dave Stanton
With that haircut what motorbike are you riding? Looking cool Dave.
Hey Dave, looks like a great solution for guys who make their own MFT table and don’t want to invest in a hinge for squaring up cross cuts. I wanna try your dog locks but asking $48 USD for the pair is excessive for a 3d printed product especially when UJK sells their clips for $24 CDN. Huge difference in price for essentially the same type of product. Just my 2 cents
Hey Dave what exact extension leads did you buy? What are the specs?
Are the panels durable in the rain? Or dust? I have heard mixed information
Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
Hi Do you havr links to the other products the circuit board switch to off grid and the trip.lead
Not yet, but keep checking back.
The red light are one of the best features. Great inside tents or if you wish to keep a low profile. Most people are looking for white light not red. I use red a hell of a lot
Red light for the win! Who needs white light when you have the stealthy red?
Dave i just finished watching the second half of yesterday's show and i wanted to say im so sorry to hear about your mum's fall. I'll be thinking of you, your mum and your family and please let us know how she's doing. One thing that i still can't believe is how you can build connections and relationships with people all over the world like they are just there in your back yard. Just to say you have avery big family that cares for you and your family. Thinking of you all. Cheers Sam
Thanks Sam. She is argumentative which is a good thing I think. Should be out of hospital next week. Not bad for a 95 year old!
@DavidStanton so good to hear Dave
Thanks, Dave. Watched after work. Nice to see you back in the saddle. Happy birthday, Zoe.
Glad you enjoyed it Paul.
What a surprise when my notification came up on my phone this morning. I was looking forward all day to getting home to watch and I know I'm late but HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZOE!!!! Great to see you again with a live show and see the chat from the channel family. Thanks so much Dave 😊
Your excitement and dedication mean a lot. Thank you for tuning in and for the birthday wishes!
Live again l missed it ok watch the replay thanks Dave
Missed me live? No worries, I'm like a fine wine - I only get better with age... or replays!
I like it. It would be nice to have some diagrams instead of saying “from here to here.”😊
Noted!
Very helpful. Thanks!
You're welcome!
Hi David, great video. Very informative. Thank you! I have a slight issue. Each of my panels have plastic attachments that connect the upper and lower vertical bars which add about 2.5mm on each side at the top and bottom of each vertical bar. When I'm measuring the width of my panels, should I measure between each plastic attachment which then leaves a small 2.5mm gap elsewhere between the vertical attachments on each side when fitted, OR, should I measure the width from the middle of each vertical bar (not the plastic attachment) and cut the foam myself where the plastic attachments are located on each side, top and bottom? Thanks for any advice you can offer me.
Send me a photo so I can get a better idea.
@DavidStanton I've sent some pics to your Facebook messenger. Thanks
You explained it so well ive been meaning to attempt this now i will
Awesome to hear! You've got this, just dive in and give it your best shot!
8 years do put some marks on your face. Thanks for the videos. exactly what I need. the youtubers from another continent just love using plywood for everything. there are not many videos showing how to make things with melamine.
Maybe plywood is their version of a Swiss Army knife!
Wonderful video and such great concise presentation
Thanks a million for the positive feedback! It really makes my day to hear that you liked the video.
What is your method for sharpening the front blade?
Hi Dave, are you able to use this saw to rip up to 100 - 150 mm timber?
Not a rip saw for anything thicker than 20mm. It is a little hobbyist's saw at which it is very capable.
Nice jigsaw skills. all the Festool guys in the forums trash this jigsaw because they can’t cut well with it. You need to take those boys to School with your skills
Thank you so much for the compliment!
Just moving into a rental and this is first on the list so I can use my power tools in the garage. Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺
That's awesome! Enjoy setting up your new space! Check with the owner first as the extra weight may damage the motor?
Very impressed when you showed your cut. Thanks for the tips
I'm glad you found the tips helpful!
What’s the max kw can the car draw from the bluetti ac300?
It all depends on the granny charger you are using. Mine is designed to use with a 240 volt 10 amp outlet so that would be 2.4 kilowatts.
Love Stan’s workshop! Great story & video. Especially enjoyed hearing about the orientation of timber (& lol about connecting wood to a computer!)
I'm glad you liked the video and found the timber orientation interesting!
Dave a amazing interview. I could listen to you & Stan days on end . I am going to watch this video a few times & look up Stan. Dave I have watched you for a few years & you are revered . I think Stan will be the same. Thanks Dave your videos are therapy for me
Listening to me and Stan for days on end might be a bit much, but I appreciate the enthusiasm!
Do you need a melamine saw blade or is a regular wood 60 T good clean cut for drawer fronts?
It depends on how clean a cut you want. I like to use a special melamine blade but they don't hold their sharpness as long as conventional blades. Add to one function and subtract from another.
Hi Dave , thanks for this , great questions and stories, best you tube vid i,ve watched in a long time , thanks again
Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave such a positive comment, it means a lot to me!
Sound is out of sync for the first little bit but comes good.
This would cost about A$3000 in 2024
Maybe exaggerating a little? I manufacture and sell them in Australia but cheaper to make your own if you are up to it. ua-cam.com/video/d7buX2yj2wE/v-deo.html
@@DavidStanton it was my attempt at humor :) Sorry to bother you. I'm looking at your Etsy and keen to buy some of your products for a project I'm building overseas. I'm visiting Australia and weighing up whether or not to lug a pre-made bench back or buy a parf guide kit and DIY :) The Parf guide seems to be forever?
Haha, no bother at all! If you decide to lug a pre-made bench back, just make sure you have some extra muscles handy for the heavy lifting as it is 20 kg.
@@DavidStanton I bought a parf guide, so I'll be doing some DIY work. I'll buy your plans off etsy. I did want to ask, about your bench, is there ever any sagging in the center? I notice the legs are all quite close to the edge?
@myjotv6448 no sag at all.
Wow, what an interview Dave. Stan is one amazing gentleman. Great stories, great knowledge shared. Very entertaining.
Stan's stories are like hidden treasures, always full of surprises.

Just subbed from here in Indiana USA. Any friend of Steve is a friend if mine!
Well, Steve is a pretty cool guy, so I guess that makes you cool by association!
Prefer this format to live stream. Good design. Any plans?
Thanks for the feedback! I'm happy you prefer this format. I will look into some plans very soon.
Thank you so much! You saved me from hurting myself
I'm so glad to hear that! Your well-being is important.
Hi Dave, hope you and your family are well, What a great chat with Steve never seen him before but I will watch out for him, sounds like a great and nice guy, like your self, I enjoy the two of you just chatting away, the more I was watching the more interesting it was getting, it was down to earth and like two men in a pub having a chat and few beers, great stuff. Good to see you again, catch you soon from a nice spring day in Wales, Take care mate
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the chat with Steve.
@@DavidStanton Really enjoyed it Dave have a good one
I have to admit, Steve did help me immensley through covid with his daily shows
Steve's daily shows were like a ray of sunshine in the stormy clouds of Covid.
Great interview, Steve's a top bloke. And yourself of course. Cheers David
It takes one top bloke to know another, right? Thanks for tuning in!
Thanks Dave - Nice to see you've side-stepped to Interviews. (Hair is looking great btw) That was a great Interview, and i thoroughly enjoyed watching it. I've always loved watching Steve's content - His skill and charisma is very addictive to watch. Much Appreciated.
Haha, thanks for noticing the hair! Maybe I should start a hair care channel next.
Woodworking. The manliest of all trades.
Woodworking: Where even the sawdust smells manly!
Thanks David, I was one of Steve's moderators. Never have I met a nicer guy, and so giving of his time.
Thank you for sharing your experience with Steve. It's wonderful to hear about such positive interactions.
Unfortunately one of my video cameras decided to stop functioning towards the end of the interview. That would explain the abrupt finish.
Agree with Derek, more interviews
Derek is always full of great ideas, isn't he? More interviews coming your way!
Great interview Dave and Steve 👍.
Thank you for watching the interview!
Great interview. Thanks Dave. Steve is a great guy and interesting to hear the story. More interviews please!
Thank you for your kind words! Steve is indeed amazing, and more interviews are on the way!
I think this is 1000K USD worth of clamps but great method if you have them 🙂
And I had more left in the cupboard! Great investment, will be worth 2000k USD when I retire, LOL. But seriously, all you need is 4 good clamps and do one drawer at a time.
Fantastic tutorial! I have an unused tall melamine cupboard to cut into drawers. This is a perfect guide for me. I love pocket hole work. Thank you.
Turning a tall melamine cupboard into drawers? That's some creative DIY magic right there!
What is a quarter sheet of plywood. 2' x 4'?
A quarter sheet of plywood that is 2' x 4' is a smaller piece typically used for smaller DIY projects.
